We arrived in Bergen the night of our trip to the fjords. The hungry group was spoiled to humongous servings of seafood at Fish Me Fisketorget. It was the best dinner for me in the entire trip. We were served this deep bowl of Bergen fish soup, which hungry me said is little, but then the PLATTER was served--oh my god. The largest crab claws, shrimps, and mussels crammed the already huge plate--PLATTER, sorry. And then there was this bread with what they call a ramslok dip (sour cream) which was complimented the whole package. The. Best. It's one of the restaurants at the wharf where the fresh market is. After eating, we got the chance to look around inside the market and see (and carry) the heaviest king crabs. We also found a McDonald's set in an old building and ordered a milkshake even though the breeze was crazy and it was already freezing.

We went to our hotel Scandic Torget Bergen for the night. The place was clean and the breakfast spread was good.

In the morning, we were whisked by our tour bus to go up through the Fløibanen funicular where we saw Bergen from atop!

We went Asian for lunch at a Chinese restaurant called Sze Chuan. Not the best, but there was rice... 😆

Shoes!

We went to explore Bryggen afterwards. The old wharf of Bergen is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site with the city being founded in 1070 AD. 😲 With the wooden structures, the place has endured numerous fires, the last in 1955, and now 62 buildings remain.

We left Bergen for Hirtshals, Denmark that afternoon. We took an overnight cruise aboard the MS Stavangerfjord. The boat was huge! It has restaurants, a casino, and tax-free shopping. I bought chocolates for home there. 😂
