haze

September was a haze.

While the rest of the world moved on, I was trapped in the four corners of my room. I rarely call myself trapped in my room cos I love it in here, most of the time. I devoured books instead, set my mind on adventures so that I can shield myself from that dim, latent feeling that I might be wasting away. The monotony of all things from waking up to sleeping catching up on me.

It's not always easy to turn your eyes away and change perspective. Though I consider myself a hopeful one, a dreamer, some days it takes conscious effort to choose the light and cancel the pity party hinting to happen. Sometimes it takes so much effort to laugh at the things I can't control.

Thankfully, there are more good days than bad days, and I believe that. The bad ones end in sleep, and while dreaming, one is assured the sun is always on its way to rising, giving her a new day, and fingers crossed, it's a good one, or at least a chance to choose that it will be good.

It's September! Merry Christmas from the Philippines 😄
Me all September 😜

September was supposed to be about motion blur, but I didn't quite achieve that, so I saw a piece of plastic and covered my lens with it, making this soft, hazy effect. Tried to play with color grading as well.
