a quick trip in haarlem

I've always wanted to go to New York. It's on the top of my travel list when I was 18 and so soaked with all the movies Hollywood makes. I hear about the place called Harlem from time to time, home to the soulful jazz. Little did I know, the original Haarlem was in fact a city in the Netherlands. I was so stoked when I found out!

Transportation
I got a ticket at Amsterdam Centraal and if I remember it correctly, it cost EUR 5.40 per way and takes about 15-20 minutes from the station.

It was a quick stop before my flight back to the Philippines in the evening. I did have brunch at around 10:30AM at a recommended place called Crepe Affaire and I liked the waffle that I ordered! After that I just wandered around. It was a small town and it was Saturday so there was a weekend market at the square. I was hoping to get some photos of the old buildings, but alas, the busy market did not permit it. However, I enjoyed the ecstatic vibe and that's a very good way to end my summer trip!

I clearly didn't have time to roam around and visit museums, so I promise to go back!
